Students at Nanstallon Community Primary School near Bodmin are leading the way in reducing food waste by carefully managing their meal portions. This initiative is part of the school’s broader commitment to environmental sustainability, earning recognition as an Eco-School.
With over 40 schools in Cornwall now holding Eco-School status, students are actively involved in making their schools greener and more climate-conscious.
Headteacher Ben Stephenson highlighted the school’s remarkable progress in tackling food waste:
📉 1.5kg to 3kg of food waste per lunchtime was recorded.
